Nanjing Tour Guide

Legend of the Yangtze River cruise

There is also a cruise along the Yangtze River, which takes about 2 hours to have a great view of Nanjing, too. It will pass under our Yangtze River Bridge, which has 2 decks of road, one for the cars, one for the trains, fully constructed by the Chinese in 1968.

Zhongshan Dock

Zhongshan Dock connects the northern area and the southern area by ferry. The ferry is across the Yangtze River where you can have a great view of the river. Also, the old Nanjing North Train Station, which was a very important line from Beijing to Nanjing, was where they used it to transfer the remains of Dr. Sun Yat-sen to Nanjing. If you are a history buff, you will like this area.

Different sections of Nanjing Ancient City Walls are also highlights of Nanjing, you should not miss them.

If you decide to have a city walk besides those popular attractions that can be easily found online, I have a list of local places we locals like to go during holidays, to breathe in the beauty of Nanjing.

If you weren't thinking or planning on doing that much, you can also email me (sam@nanjingtourguide.com) about what kind of places you would like to visit, such as:

Places that are more historical?

Good places to hike?

Places that you can see local Nanjing peoples' life?

Where to try Nanjing local food?

Just let me know and I will give you the answer and take you there.

Nanjing bridges

Besides the main Yangtze River Bridge, we also have three other famous bridges, Baguazhou Bridge, Dashengguan Bridge, and Nanjing Eyes Bridges.

Local Favorite

Meishan Iron and Steel Industry Cultural Tourism Zone, where you can see how metal is made, and you will see the steam train head 9424, and the Diesel power train. A lovely place for train fans.
